We offer relaxed independant walking and cycling holidays in charming rural France. Our walking and cycling tours take you gently through the undulating vineyards of Cognac, through fields of sunflowers and meadows awash with bright red poppies, along beautiful stretches of the Charente
river as it flows to the sea. We supply detailed route notes and maps allowing you freedom to enjoy the wonderful scenery in your own time.
There is an abundance of wildlife in this rural idyll from the dramatic migration of storks in early spring to families of wild boar and several species of deer.
Your holiday begins with a warm welcome at 'Le Bourg', a 17th century traditional Charentaise farmhouse set in the peaceful village of Nonac which is situated in the countryside south west of Angouleme and south east of Cognac. The house has all the comforts of today yet still retains the charm and feel of bygone days. All rooms are en suite and there is a large 12m x 6m swimming pool overlooking the fields.
From the moment you arrive your cares will be left behind. You may wish to take a dip in the pool, play petanque or simply relax and read in the peaceful gardens whilst we prepare your gourmet dinner using locally sourced ingredients.
We will invite you to join us for an aperitif whilst we explain the opportunities and go over the routes and directions to enable you to get the most from your holiday. Whilst you have the freedom of self guided walking or cycling you are assured of full time back up from professional staff with years of experience.
